Meet Pastor Holland

Holland Greig serves as the Student Ministry Pastor at Breakaway Church, where he is passionate about helping students know, love, and study God's Word. He loves teaching the Bible in a way that helps students get excited about Scripture and develop a faith that lasts. You'll also find Holland teaching on Sunday mornings throughout the year.

Holland came to faith in Christ during his sophomore year at Texas A&M University and sensed God's call to ministry shortly afterward. After graduating, he served with a ministry in Dallas, where he met his wife, Jenny. They married in 2012 and moved to Austin to help plant Wells Branch Community Church. After several years of ministry there and earning a Master's degree from Redeemer Seminary, Holland was commissioned to plant Eastside Community Church, where he served as Lead Pastor before returning to Breakaway Church.

When he's not teaching or spending time with students, Holland enjoys reading the works of J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis, both of whom have deeply influenced his love for storytelling and biblical truth. Holland and Jenny live in the Austin area with their four children—Owen, Lizzie, Wyatt, Ethan, and one more little girl, Heidi, on the way—and their two dogs, Charlie and Molly.
