Membership is a way of saying,
"This is my church family."

When you become a member at Breakaway, you're making a commitment to worship, grow, serve, and live on mission alongside other believers. You're partnering with us as we seek to Love God. Love People. Make Disciples.

Membership isn't about putting your name on a list—it's about joining a family that encourages one another to follow Jesus and make Him known.

Whether you're new to Breakaway or you've been attending for a while, Discover Breakaway is the best place to begin.

This class takes place after church on select Sundays and is designed to help you get to know who we are as a church. You'll hear about our mission, beliefs, values, leadership, and vision, while also learning what membership looks like and how to get connected.

Lunch and childcare are provided with registration.

Membership is for those who:

  • Have placed their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

  • Have been baptized as an expression of their faith.

  • Have completed the online membership class and membership application.

  • Affirm Breakaway's beliefs and are willing to support the mission and ministry of the church.

  • Desire to actively participate in the life of the church through worship, community, service, generosity, and making disciples.

Membership is a mutual commitment between you and your church family.

As a member, you'll be encouraged and equipped to grow in your relationship with Christ through biblical teaching, community, service, and mission. You'll also have opportunities to help shape the future of Breakaway through member voting on significant church decisions.

In return, our pastors, elders, deacons, and church family commit to caring for you spiritually, praying for you, encouraging your growth, and faithfully shepherding the church according to God's Word.

Meet with Church Leaders

We'll schedule a conversation with two of our elders or deacons. This is simply an opportunity for us to hear your story, answer questions, and get to know one another.

After your interview, you'll be presented to the church during a Sunday morning service so we can celebrate and officially welcome you into the Breakaway family.
